Simiacare was born from a deeply personal understanding of what it means to truly care for others. Our founding director, Chris, established the organisation in honour of his mother, who raised and cared for 40 people throughout her life with unwavering dedication, love, and compassion. Her legacy shapes everything we do, reminding us daily that exceptional care comes from genuinely seeing and valuing each person we support. This foundation of compassion and respect is not just something we talk about, it is woven into every interaction, every support plan, and every relationship we build from South West Sydney to the Blue Mountains.
Everyone Matters: Seeing the Person First
We believe that everybody matters. This simple but powerful belief drives our approach to NDIS and aged care support throughout our service region. Whether we are supporting someone in Campbelltown, Liverpool, Fairfield, Penrith, or throughout the Blue Mountains communities of Katoomba, Leura, and Springwood, we see the person first, always. You are a mother, father, community member, son, daughter, sportsman, enthusiast, someone with dreams, goals, and a life story that deserves to be honoured. Your identity comes before any diagnosis, and we take time to understand who you are, what matters to you, and what you want to achieve. This identity-first philosophy is not a checkbox for us, it is the foundation of how we provide person-centred care.
Embracing Diversity Across Our Communities
Our service region encompasses wonderfully diverse communities, from the multicultural suburbs of South West Sydney to the unique mountain communities, and we embrace this diversity wholeheartedly. We understand that culturally respectful support means more than just acknowledging different backgrounds. It means listening to your preferences about language, food, cultural practices, and family involvement. It means recognising that your lived experience shapes what matters most to you. Our team respects the diversity and opinions of the people we support, the choices you make, and the cultural values you hold dear. We work collaboratively with you and your family, understanding that support is most effective when it honours your entire community and cultural context, whether you live in metropolitan Sydney or the mountain communities.
Choice and Control at the Heart of Our Support
Choice and control sit at the heart of everything Simiacare offers across our service area. We believe you know what is best for your own life, and our role is to provide support that helps you live the way you choose. This means co-designing support plans that genuinely reflect your needs, not fitting you into predetermined programmes. We listen carefully to your goals and work in true collaboration to achieve them. Whether you want to build daily living skills, access your local community, maintain your health through nursing support, develop greater independence, or simply receive respectful personal care that honours your dignity, we adapt our approach to suit you. Your voice guides every decision, ensuring the care you receive truly reflects what you need and want.

They understand the challenges people face every day and work hard to provide solutions that respect your choices and honour your goals. What truly sets our staff apart is their teachable nature and openness to learning. They approach each new situation with humility, understanding that every person they support has unique needs, preferences, and circumstances. They are open to knowing you as a person, understanding your identity before focusing on any diagnosis or support requirements.
A Holistic Approach to Wellbeing
We take a holistic approach to wellbeing, recognising that support needs to address your physical, emotional, and social health, not just your care requirements. Whether we are providing nursing care in Liverpool, supporting community access in Campbelltown, delivering mental health support in Fairfield, helping with transport in Penrith, or providing in-home support throughout the Blue Mountains, we consider all aspects of your wellbeing. We understand that quality of life comes from feeling connected, valued, and empowered. We focus on delivering exceptional services that enhance your wellbeing, working tirelessly to ensure every interaction promotes your dignity, independence, and sense of belonging.
